Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect the details you give us to book your visit, we use them for exactly that, and that’s the end of it. The longer version is below.

Who we are

Good Boy Security fortifies homes and businesses across Toronto and the GTA. We’re responsible for the personal information described here. If you want to talk to someone about it, email info@goodboysecurity.ca.

What we collect

Two kinds.

What you give us. When you book a free consultation, we ask for your name, your address or postal code, and a phone number or email. That’s the whole list. If you call or write to us, we keep what you tell us so we can help.

What arrives on its own. Like any website, ours sits on a host that records basic technical information — your IP address, your browser, and which pages you asked for. We use it to keep the site up and to spot abuse. We don’t build a profile of you with it.

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising trackers.

What we use it for

To book the visit, turn up at the right door, and send you your quote. Nothing else.

We don’t sell your information and we don’t pass it to anyone for their own use.

Who else handles it

Two companies touch your information, and only to provide a service to us:

Netlify hosts this site and processes the booking form so your submission reaches us.

Google Fonts serves the typeface the site is set in. Loading it tells Google your IP address. Nothing you type into the form goes to Google.

Both are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or handled outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws there, including lawful access requests by foreign authorities.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them for the work and for our own records, and no longer.

You can ask us to delete them. We’ll do that where we’re able to — sometimes we have to hold on to records, for our books or for work we’ve guaranteed.

Keeping it safe

The site runs over HTTPS. Booking submissions sit in our host’s dashboard and our inbox, and only the people who need to see them can.

No system is perfect. If there is ever a breach that the law requires us to report, we’ll report it and let you know.

Your information, your call

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, and withdraw your consent to us keeping it, subject to any legal or contractual limits. We’ll respond as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top.
